Relaxing day in Lyon

Mondays in general is a day many restaurants and tourism related places are closed. Charde and I witnessed this to the extreme with Monday also being Easter holiday here.

Everything we attempted to do today did not really pan out but no big deal, we have another weekend to see these things.

We splurged and had "brunch" at hotel this morning because we did not know what we would find open. We went to several places around town such as historical opera house and museum second to the famous Louve but unable to see any of them. We got pictures from the outside.
For the afternoon we walked up to Croix-Rousse, basically more steps, to overlook the city of Lyon. It was foggy and not great views but it was worth it for exercise.

For dinner we had our first official French dinner at a classic bouchon. My salad was amazing!

Biggest blessing of the day was receiving an email from school apologizing for our first crazy day in Lyon and agreeing to cover our additional expenses for the weekend. That was a huge relief and I am extremely grateful!
