A quick train ride to Versailles Palce

From Paris to Versaille Palace, it is only a short train ride. I highly recommend going if you are anywhere close. The place is very impressive, especially the gardens. The kings and queens of France lived here after moving out of the Louve. (The Louve was the original palace before becoming a museum)
Did I mention I received a ton of history lessons throughout my journey??? They do not teach this kind of stuff in school. Well actually they probably do...I just didnt care enough about it at the time to actually retain the knowledge.

The morning started off rainy but the day turned out fabulous; just in time to enjoy the amazing gardens. Sorry for the out of order pictures :(
Outside of the palace: the gold plating makes this building very unique

Entry way into the hall of mirrors.
The chandeliers in this palace probably cost more than my house

Small replica

A typical dinner setting. Fancy to say the least

Great pic mom and dad!

Love him!

Best view of the gardens.

The color combinations in the palace are very unique.

Mid kiss :)

We have tons of pictures of inside the palace

This was part of the Queens place of residence.

This was typical me during the entire trip: either studying a map or
looking at a tourist guide

Right after our picnic lunch in the park and a slight rainfall :)

The sky was crazy cool!

Normally the fountain show is only on weekends
but we picked a day after a holiday in France.
Normally the gardens are free except during the fountain shows

Seine River Cruise

As part of my moms 50th birthday celebration, we took a 2 hr daytime cruise down the Seine River.
It was cool being able to see most of the main historic sites from the river.
About to depart...

The Louve

MS Boat all the way in Paris France

Paris has a replica of the statue of liberty.
The French gave the statue of liberty in NYC to USA

Whats one more picture of the Eiffel

All of the bridges on the Seine have unique sculptures

Orsay Museum

Linds, every time I see these, I think of your wedding. :)
Happy late anniversary!

Just chilling in one of the many parks
While strolling through Marais area, we came upon this neat guy

The Louve with the family

Matt and I went to the Louve with Charde and Jarod and saw the two most important wings/exhibits while we were there. One could literally spend DAYS in this museum so Matt and I were def willing to pay to go back to the museum with my family. There was plenty we had not seen.

Cool pyramid on inside; underground mall is one entrance to the museum.

Thankful for God's grace.

Same  symbol as outside on pyramid

crazy detailed!

Yes we did. We mocked a sculpture in the Louve

King Napoleon's bed

Awesome baby crib for the king/queens child

BEAUTIFUL!!

Inside of a mummy tomb

The Egyptian area was very neat!

Once again: mimicking a sculpture

Mummy tombs!

Crazy family!
