Living the life of a lyonnian

Sunday morning Charde and i did another Matt work out in our room! It was quite intense cardio.

We started our day by purchasing train tickets to Paris next weekend. Nice is a 5 hr train ride so we held off until we could discuss with professor about having the Friday off. Tickets are reasonable and I am looking forward to my first experience of a train and also Paris!

We had planned to eat lunch at a famous chefs restaurant but on Sundays the menu is very limited. We didn't want to take the chance of not liking it because it is not cheap (food here in general is not cheap!!) They have "menu" deals similar to our combo meals but even nice, fancy restaurants offer them. It's similar to fixed price for 2-3 course meal.

I got my real coffee (or closest ican find) at Starbucks today. We figured out Starbucks wifi is legit compared to other places. Highlight included face timing with my hubby and my B man followed by my parents. Matt was doing what any great father would do on a Sunday morning before church, feed the baby waffles he made himself! B was loving it!!

Finding anything to do here on a Sunday is not easy. Everything is closed. We found lunch at a Japanese restaurant. It was very good. Had chicken teriyaki with noodles. Portions here are huge so Charde and I shared it.

We were so proud of ourselves for figuring out the transportation system to get us to the international English speaking Christian church. It was a great experience and a huge blessing to be able to worship with ppl living in Lyon. The members were very inviting, welcoming and we could communicate in English!! So very thankful we went!

We ended the evening by using our hot plate to brown ground beef to make tacos! It was yummy!

Tomorrow starts a full week of rotation!
