Both Babies Trip to Smyrna TN

The last week of August, Matt met Mom, Gran, and Mamaw in Jackson to bring both babies to Smyrna.
Our family was delighted for two reasons: babies coming to visit and MS family coming to hang out and meet the precious little ones.

I unfortunately had to finish rotation through Thursday of that week so Mom and Mamaw took care of the babies during the day until I was done.
The month passed by extremely quickly.....very interesting patients at the Middle TN mental health institute. Oh how I wish I could share some stories, but that would be against HIPPA to post.

On Wed, mom and mamaw ventured out with the babies to have lunch with Bri at her new APT close to Lipscomb.

On thursday, they hung out around the house until I finished up at rotation.

On Friday we spent the day doing some shopping....yes we ventured out with both babies. I wore Baby C in my baby bjorn and we pushed Baby B around in the stroller.

We found some good deals at Belk for Baby C!

We headed on over to Hobby Lobby to buy some "surprise" craft stuff.....whole post coming soon

On Saturday afternoon, my aunt, uncle and cousin from MS came to hang out.
It was relaxing time just hanging out with the babies and spending time with family.

Sunday morning Amanda, my cousin was baptized. We are so excited for the Carr family! She is now my sister in Christ!
She had several rows of support at church! So thankful for my aunt and uncle who instill Godly truths at home and at church
We all went to O charleys (all 20+) of us to have brunch afterwards. Both babies did pretty good again!

We ate AMAZING GRILLED FOOD both Saturday and Sunday that dad had fixed
My aunt brought sweet potato pie...my first of the season! So good
Also she made Georgia sweet corn bread cake! Recipe is super easy! Cant wait to try it! Perfect for coffee dessert!
Family made a quick trip to Target and came back with Baby B and Cs first halloween outfits!
We are ready for cooler weather and end of October!

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
4 eggs beaten
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups pecans, very finely chopped
Preheat oven to 350°F degrees.Lightly grease and flour 9 by 13 baking dish. Stir together sugar, brown sugar, eggs and oil in a medium bowl until smooth. Stir in flour and vanilla. Add pecans and stir until evenly mixed.
Spoon into prepared pan and bake 30 minutes to 35 minutes.

Monday, labor day, we hung out around the house and packed up to head out.
Between the babies stuff, 2 car seats with them in it, and a month long stay at my parents out, my car was quite impressive with all that was packed into it!

Thanks to my aunt Lisa who traveled with me until Jackson, TN to help keep the babies quiet!

Loved spending time with my family at home, my dads side of the family, and bonding with Baby B and C!
Cant wait to return to Nonna and Papa bears home!
