This weekend Matt, the babies, and I made the trip to Nashville for several reasons.
- I had a dental appointment. Yes, I have lived in Memphis for 4 years. And Yes, my dentist is still in Smyrna. If you know anything about my dental history, you would know why. It was comforting to me to keep the same dentist who is fully aware of my dental issues. Things are changing and my dentist no longer practices at Smyrna location so its time to man up and find a dentist in Memphis.
- BTW: when I go to dentist, I dont find out things like ," Oh, you have another cavity." I find things out like, "If you did not purchase an electric toothbrush yesterday, you are well on your way to needing a gum graft." A gum graft? what in the world is that?? IDK, but apparently several areas of my gum need one.
- Thanks to gran and gdaddy who watched babies for us while I went to dentist. Matt had been sick and still wasn't feeling back to normal. Thankful the rest of the family didnt catch what he had.....yet....
- Matt and I had another meeting Friday afternoon with one less at Starbucks. It was a much needed meeting because the "hard" questions were addressed including the business directed questions. Be praying for a board meeting that will occur Tuesday night where hopefully they will present Matt's proposal and discuss bringing him on board to operate out of Memphis.
- Mother/Daughter dessert event at Lifepoint. It was a night of 3 generations. (C had to stay home with the boys so 4th generation wasn't included). It was a good time to spend as women and also family. Thanks to Aunt Ginger for encouraging us to go!
- One Less "packing party" on Saturday where over 200 care packages were prepared to provide women and men in TN grooming essentials who are rescued from sex trafficking. Let me know if you are interested in donating items to this great cause. The goal is 1000 care packages.
- Probably the most important:::::Time with Nona, Papa, and Aunt Bri.
- Babies had first experience at a real playground. Both B and C love to swing! C belly laughed most of the time in the swing.

| True brother and sister love! |
- It was both of their nap time but B was not too thrilled about the uneven surfaces and being able to see through the tiny holes on playground equipment. Attempted the slide but wasnt a fan of that either. He did enjoy playing in the mulch :)
- Played outside and enjoyed sunshine
- Cuddle and snuggle time
- C has learned to "jump jump jump" on que. It is the cutest thing! We love seeing her interact, smile, coo more often than not.
- Enjoyed cousin time with a visit from the Carr family!
 |
| B "stuck" in between two openings. He did not want to move. |
- B always gets to eat really good as well as the rest of us: roast/potato/carrots/mac and cheese one evening, pizza take out one evening, grilled meat and veggies one night, and a REAL breakfast with eggs, biscuits, bacon, and sausage (not cereal or oatmeal)
- We headed back to Memphis Sunday morning to get back in time for a shower for our sweet friends from the PATH class. They are expecting their first biological baby first of May, and we wanted to support them. Currently, they have one foster baby in their care (6months old), but it appears he may be returning to a biological father in near future.
- Thanks to the Smiths for watching our babies while we attended the shower! Hoping two hours with two babies didnt deter you from having babies close in age in the future :)
